Tom Cresswell was a devoted husband, father, and entrepreneur known for his warmth, humor, and unwavering loyalty. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Tom was a standout high school football player at Manheim Township. He went on to co-found and operate Sports Car Tire, a successful tire and wheel business in Wilmington, DE.

A passionate sports fan, Tom was a dedicated supporter of Philadelphia teams, holding Phillies and Flyers season tickets for decades and celebrating the Eagles’ 2025 Super Bowl victory. He loved traveling the world, with Croatia, Italy, Hawaii, and Aruba among his favorite destinations. Whether enjoying time with family in Mt. Gretna and Delray Beach or analyzing stocks and sports with his sharp mathematical mind, Tom embraced life with energy and curiosity. His love for horse racing took him to the Kentucky Derby multiple times as well as the historic 2015 Belmont Stakes.

Tom’s deep compassion extended to both people and animals—he was known for his affection for dogs and his generosity in supporting causes he believed in. He was a man of resilience and strength, overcoming challenges with determination and always putting others first. His legacy of kindness, loyalty, and love will be cherished by all who knew him. Tom will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

About the Appendix Cancer PMP Research Foundation

The Appendix Cancer PMP Research Foundation is a volunteer-led  IRS-designated 501(c)3 charitable organization. The Foundation was created in 2008 by a community of individuals affected by Appendix Cancer and Pseudomyxoma Peritonei.

Our core mission is to:
- Fund and support research to discover new treatments for appendix cancer with the hope of one day finding a cure.

-Fund and support
educational programs for health care professionals and patients/caregivers & families to keep pace with the evolving science

-Increase awareness about this rare cancer.

All of our funding comes from fundraisers like this one created by patients, family, friends, and family foundations in honor or memory of loved ones.
